Africa itinerary
Day 1:
A warm welcome and luxury hotel transfer awaits on your arrival into Arusha, TZ. Get settled before meeting the group at the welcome dinner.
Day 2:
After breakfast, we jeep out into the rugged Tarangire National Park, observing some of the largest elephants on the planet. After pausing at one of the areas most exceptional view points for lunch, the safari shifts from nature to culture on arrival to a traditional Maasai village. Take in the beauty of this ancient tribe as we meet the elders around the campfire, listen to the warriors stories and watch the children sing and dance into the night. Choose either wild camping at the village or hotel stay.
Day 3:
Wake up early and observe (or choose to join in) the village life morning routine of milking goats and preparing the traditional local breakfast (few surprises here!). Give gifts to the children, thank the village for their exceptional hospitality, then jump onto the jeeps for a day you'll never forget, into the wild, untamed backcountry of the infamous Serengeti.
Day 4:
Start the day with a truly extraordinary bucketlist experience, hot air ballooning over the great migration at sunrise. A truly spectacular sight, as we soar over countless wildlife, often bringing people to tears. Prepare for one of the most memorable breakfasts of your life as we eat a breakfast fit for a king, pop-up style, right there where we land.
After all this, our Serengeti safari continues!
Day 5:
Choose between adventure and relaxation today. An optional safari drive sets off just before sunrise in search of alpha predators in action, then to an ancient rock formation that makes music! Finish the day by spoiling your senses at a fully curated dining experience.
Day 6:
Today takes us exploring the insides of a colossal (now extinct) 12 mile by 12 mile super-volcano, home to multiple endemic species, as well as some of the worlds last known black rhinos. We will have a beautiful picnic lunch, followed by one of our favorite game drives.
Day 7:
We head into the bush to meet and learn from the oldest tribe on earth. 50,000 years of hunting, gathering and exploring the land. Join them searching for honey, learn to shoot their impressive bow and arrows, and watch in amazement as they start fire with sticks within seconds.
Day 8:
Today we enjoy our final game drive through the spectacular Lake Manyara national park searching for Leopards and cheetahs, as well as all of nature's surprises. We finish the day and this section of the trip in style at an exquisite boutique hotel and farewell dinner.
Day 9:
For those leaving, after breakfast we will transfer you to the airport. For those staying, today will be a rest day to recharge the batteries before our Uganda trip to trek with gorillas begins.

Day 11:
A legendary bucketlist experience will be ticked off today. Wake up at twilight and eat well before trekking deep into the impenetrable forest in search of gorilla troops. Once located, watch in awe as up to 30 gorillas swing, chant, eat and interact around you, led by the biggest of them all, the silverback. Spend one hour mesmerized by these incredible mammals, before trekking back to the lodge and resting up for yet another exceptional adventure tomorrow.
Day 12:
Become part of an exclusive group who have seen some of the only tree dwelling lions on earth. Enjoy an onward journey packed full of rare colorful wildlife on the way to a secluded lake, where we will be warmly greeted by members of the Batwa tribe, there to navigate us in dug-out canoes back to their village. Here we we will enjoy traditional Batwa hospitality, song and dance, and be able to interact with the help of a translator. Finally make our way back to our hotel for one last evening together.
Day 13:
